Qualifying Supervisor – Electrical Compliance (Social Housing Sector)

A long‑established national provider within the electrical, fire safety and security sector is seeking an experienced Qualifying Supervisor to join its growing Electrical Division. This organisation, referred to throughout, is expanding rapidly and offers a strong career pathway for a technical leader who thrives on quality, compliance and team development.
This role is central to maintaining the high standards is known for, ensuring all inspection and testing activities are delivered in line with British Standards and NICEIC requirements. As the in‑field technical authority, you will support engineers, uphold compliance frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Elevate the technical and administrative quality of services delivered by the Electrical Division, ensuring our client continues to meet the highest industry standards.
- Work alongside the Head of Electrical to monitor statutory and non‑statutory requirements, ensuring full compliance across all workstreams.
- Support the ongoing professional development of all electrically trained employees, reinforcing our clients' commitment to excellence.
- Ensure all systems, processes and daily working practices meet legislative, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Champion new technologies and industry standards to enhance commercial performance.
- Provide line management to the QS Department, ensuring robust processes and controls are consistently applied.
- Maintain a strong Health & Safety mindset, identifying risks and escalating concerns promptly.
- Oversee the accuracy, calibration and usability of all electrical testing equipment.
- Assist with technical queries from engineers and clients when escalated beyond standard technical support.
- Conduct post‑audit inspections and certification checks to ensure completed works meet required standards.
- Review monitoring and technical inspections completed by other technical management staff.
- Deliver initial training for new engineers and ongoing CPD for all technical staff, maintaining accurate training records in line with the quality management system.
- Support the Head of Electrical as the primary point of contact for NICEIC assessments across the UK, representing our client during annual audits.

Key Performance Indicators
- Consistently achieving client SLAs as set by the Operations Director and Head of Electrical.
- Meeting compliance and workstream KPIs across the Electrical Division.
- Demonstrating a proactive, continuous focus on Health & Safety, raising concerns appropriately and promoting safe working practices.
