The Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Estimator to support the growth of their security systems division. In this role, you will ensure that all new security system proposals and maintenance contract quotations are delivered accurately, professionally, and on time.
You will act as a key liaison between customers and the business—understanding their needs, shaping tailored solutions, and ensuring a consistently positive experience. Building strong relationships, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting customer retention will be central to your success. Ultimately, your work will help drive business growth and strengthen long‑term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the growth of new business opportunities across a major commercial account.
- Conduct site visits as required to assist the Business Development Manager.
- Design, scope, and quote security system migration projects, upgrades, and associated maintenance packages, coordinating with internal teams where needed.
- Lead solution‑development efforts that align with customer requirements and operational capabilities.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, offering innovative ideas and technologies that enhance their day‑to‑day security operations.
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and help customers maximise the value of their security systems.
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders across assigned and new customer accounts.
- Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction through clear communication and solution‑focused support.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in security systems engineering or a similar technical background.
- Working knowledge of enterprise‑level security systems such as C‑Cure, Lenel, LenelS2, Genetec, Gallagher, Milestone, Avigilon, Pelco, Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, and general intercom systems.
- Experience using CAD, Bluebeam, or similar design/estimating tools (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
