Security Installation Engineer

As a core member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of Security Systems including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control, ensuring all work meets current industry standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Install electronic security systems to a high standard, including additions, moves, and changes
- Apply strong technical knowledge of Intruder Alarms, Access Control, and CCTV
- Work confidently with signalling devices (Emizon, Dual-Com, Webway)
- Communicate effectively with customers while on-site
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a clean, tidy, and professional work ethic
- Adapt quickly to new environments, products, and requirements
- Maintain product and parts knowledge of alarm and security equipment
- Read and interpret building plans and CAD drawings
- Collaborate with customers to meet installation requirements and specifications
- Liaise with management, supervisors, and admin teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Work independently or as part of a team across a defined geographical area
- Complete documentation including site schematics/drawings and return to admin department
- Plan and manage workload effectively
- Travel and occasionally work away when required
- Always adhere to Health & Safety standards and toolbox talks
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in the electronic security industry with strong systems knowledge
- Fully conversant with NSI standards
- Skilled in Network/IP-based and analogue CCTV systems
- Knowledge and experience of access control and intruder systems
- Clean, full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends when required
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and collaborate with other contractors on-site
